      Id like to thank Chris for all the hard work and dedication he put int my vette this week. When I test drove the car it pulled like a mofo and was insane! It put my azz back into my seat! The motor was built by Vengace Racing and now with Chris’s new tune it feels like 600+ hp rather then 450hp.

      Thanks agian for the new beast and look forward to burning up some tires!

    • I wanted to post say that it was great having Chris at our recent Tuning School class in Odessa, FL. He was able to assist other students in tuning a Pontiac G8 GT (Supercharged, making 480 RWHP), and 2 C5 Corvettes. Chris was part of the class who made an undriveable C5 into a completely street happy 634 RWHP, and a pleasure to drive (a fellow student’s car). We’re glad Chris has the patience needed to provide that same level of tuning results for his customers, as he demonstrated at our class. Looking forward to seeing Chris at the next class!

    • Well the car was originally built by IN-tune motorsports in Cleveland, TN and then APF has done miscellaneous odds and ends since, but its never been re-tuned since it was built. Well it needed to be tuned and I thought that Hunter’s $XXX price tag sounded appealing so I sprung for it. All I can say is WOW!

      Is it making more power? Who knows, its definitely got a quicker butt-dyno feeling, but one thing I will say is that it makes its torque and makes gobs way lower in the rpm range! the constant surge at lower rpms is finally gone, and we dropped the idle slightly bc my cam doesnt constitute the idle it was previous set at. Also the throttle response is a night/day difference!

      Overall im very happy with the tune and it definitely feels much quicker as it blows the tires out all the way to redline in 1st or 2nd. He took the time to explain why he changed what he did and what each chance actually did to/for the car. Being so uneducated on the subject of tuning I definitely felt a lot more comfortable walking out of there knowing what was done.

      ….hell the guy even washed my car before I picked it up. I couldnt have asked for a better tuning experience!!

      Well, I must say out of the few tuners I have gone to none have done a more satisfactory job on a FULL tune than Chris. I work from 7am-5pm and hardly have time to drive the 1-2hrs away and drop my car off to be tuned. I talked to Chris and he had no problem meeting me in the middle.. on a Sunday afternoon! How many people go out of their way like that anymore to satisfy a customer? I talked to him several months ago and explained my tuning problem/situation and he listened to what I had to say and did not put pressure on me to do things his way, like other performance shops I have delt with. Even washed my car! Now, the car has a noticable difference in drivability, throttle response, no lope from the cam, power (1st and 2nd for damn sure), doesnt surge anymore (like the last “Tune”), and the best part MPG!!! My last tune was averaging 13-16mpg in the city driving like a 90 year old woman. Now I can drive it like I do and retain over 20mpg and even hit near 30mpg on the way back home! I just cant find the words to explain the expierence.. Thank you Chris, is all that comes to me. As long as your in the business you will be the first person I will contact about future builds, setups and friends setups. You gave me plenty cards to hand out, and I hope to get them out ASAP for you! Soooo… With all that said. The results to me are astounding for the very mild setup I have. I didnt want to push it too hard since the engine now has 105,000 miles on it. So he just tuned it for the 100 shot. Peak numbers were not my goal. I wanted a car that had a LOT under the curve without having to put gears in it and change the characteristics of the car. Obviously i would have got a bigger cam with a LOT more lift if i were looking for peak numbers.

      Well, I must say the car had only been tuned by one other shop. The tune that Chris did has the car idling and driving like a new car .It has a large cam along with other mods. Before his handy work it had a hard time idling and drivability at anything other then wot, was tuff at best. Now, the car has a noticeable difference in drivability, throttle response, power thru all gears, doesn’t surge anymore and the best part mpg ! My last tune was averaging 10-14 mpg in the city. Now I can drive it like I want to retain over 22 mpg and even hit near 30 mpg on the way back home! I can’t find enough words to explain the experience. He will be my only tuner from now on.

    • I have know of Chris for a while but I met through Jerry aka cablebandit. When I got this GTO it was already procharged and tuned by turns out 3 different places which that alone caused me numorous issues. Well as a amature tuner this car was kicking my ass. Chris saw this and was willing to help me but I was so frustraited with it I just let him have it and start over and as I suspected I had alot to learn about boosted app. tuning. Chris has patience unlike no other cause he took the time to explain what I was missing and what was screwed up before I got ahold of it . He took the time to show me step by step everything I needed to tune further if ness. Which most tuners wont do. The results spec for themself. My car broke into the 11′s for the first time on completely stock running gear including convertor. now the fun begins and hunter is gonna be doing a few other things. thanks for help and effort Chris youll have a great business with that motivation and efort you put forth.
